Styles of Stamps and Dies

Flat Stamps

CMF flat stamps have no notches or steps. This simple design uses a set screw for retention in indention marking holders. The CMF stamps are available in a selection of character sizes. The other options include special length, multicharacter dies, and different face styles.

Groove Stamps

CMG groove stamps have a half moon indention that is used to hold the steel stamp in a holder with a pin. There are (3) basic standard Designs: CMG Standard 7/8" long which is the most commonly used, the CMV centered groove, and the CMC long groove. All the CM Groove standard stamp designs are available in a selection of character sizes. The other options include special length, multicharacter dies, and different face styles.

Step Stamps

CMS and CMT step stamps have a relief step(s) that is used to hold the steel stamp in a holder with a retaining plate. There are (2) basic standard Designs: CMS Standard single step, and the CMT double step. All the CM Step standard stamp designs are available in a selection of character sizes. The other options include special length, multicharacter dies, and different face styles.

Round Inserts

CM-X Round insert are available in (3) standard sizes: 1/4", 3/8", & 1/2". They are used in the CMT air impact markers, and hand tools. All the CM-X inserts standard designs are available in a selection of character sizes. The other options include special length, multicharacter dies, and different face styles.

Round Punches

CM-P Round punches are available in (3) standard sizes: 1/4", 3/8", & 1/2". They are used in the CMT air impact markers, and hand tools. All the CM-P inserts standard designs are available in a selection of conical points and lengths.

Stamping Retainers and Dies

CMM stamping retainers and dies are made to the automotive industry standard designs. CMT provides a superior product through the quality double pass engraving and the ACC coating. CMT has three basic types: W-shaped, L-shaped, and bottoming markers. CMT also provides attachements for CMM retainers on the Slide-A-Mark air impact markers.

Roll Type Holder

CMT manufactures a selection of roll type holders for use in stand alone roll marking applications or for integration in a CNC machining cell. The wedge type and holders are available in a variety of character sizes. Other options include multicharacter dies, and different face styles.

Roll Dies

CMT solid roll dies are available in a couple different standard designs. These designs are used in the roll marking, bar stock marking machines and CNC roll marking attachments. Custom designs are also available. Other options include logos, and pockets for type.

Press Holders and Type

CMT P-Series Press holders are a great marking solution for high volume production marking on flat surfaces. The press holder uses standard CMS step style type and can be configured for a wide range of marking legends. The design is durable and wear resistant.

Tooling for Embossing

CMT provides complete embossing tooling services. Embossing tooling offered includes die sets, dies shoes, and numbering heads. CMT provides engineering, design, build, and testing.

Hot Stamping Dies and Type

CMT provides steel and brass dies for hot stamping. The standard CMSH,CMTH hot stamp type are used in the 900 seris of hot stamping units and are available in a variety of character sizes. Other options include multi-character dies, and logos.

Tooling for Radial Marking

CMT designs and manufactures solutions for radial marking. A radial type holder retains steel type in a circular pattern. The holder can mark flat surfaces with characters in an arch or circular path.

Custom Stamps and Dies

CMT manufacturers custom dies and steel stamps. CMT works closely with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements, offering expertise and guidance throughout the process.
