CM Round Inserts
The CM – round inserts are used for indention marking and are held in the stamp recess/holder with spring clip or set screw. Round inserts are frequently used to provide station ID and part tracking QC marks. Round inserts always center the mark in the tool holder. The CM Round inserts are made in the USA with a double pass engraving for quality, clarity of mark, and longevity of the tool.

- CM7 - 1/4" Round Insert
- CM8 - 3/8" Round Insert
- CM9 - 1/2" Round Insert
CMY Large Head Round Inserts
CMT has a complete line of large head inserts for each of our standard sizes: 1/4", 3/8”, and 1/2". These large head inserts allow for larger marking legends to be marked with the standard air impact markers. Care must be taken to assure that the marker has the force required for the respective indention marking application

1/4" Round
The CM7 are 1/4" round inserts are used exclusively in the Mite-E-Mark, model 78, air impact marker.
Configurations and use.
- CM7X - For use in the Model 78 "OB" Rod has a whistle notch that is used with a set screw.
- CM7G - For use in the Model 78 "GB" Rod has a groove that is used with a pin and oring. This solution is for applications with excessive vibrations.
- CM7Y - For use in the Model 78 "OY" Rod has a mahcined front face to perfectly support the wide head. This solution is used for larger marking legends, or logos.
3/8" Round
The CM8 round inserts are the most popular, and used in the most CMT models.
Configurations and use.
- CM8X - For use in the Model 88/288 "OB" Rod has a whistle notch that is used with spring clip. Also used many hand held CMT marking tools.
- CM8G - For use in the Model 88/288 "GB" Rod has a groove that is used with a pin and oring. This solution is for applications with with clearance interference.
- CM8Y - For use in the Model 88/288 "OY" Rod has a mahcined front face to perfectly support the wide head. This solution is used for larger marking legends, as an anvil, or logos.
1/2" Round
The CM9 1/2" round insert is used in the 98, 298, and Slide-A-Mark air impact markers.
Configurations and use.
- CM9X - For use in the Model 98/298/451/751/851 "OB" Rod has a groove with a retaining spring clip.
- CM9Y - For use in the Model 98/298 "OY" Rod has a mahcined front face to perfectly support the wide head. This solution is used for larger marking legends, as an anvil, or logos.
Wide Head Round
Wide Head Round inserts are available in (3) standard sizes: 1/4", 3/8", & 1/2". They are used in the CMT air impact markers, and hand tools. The wide head of the die enables the impact tool to be used as a hammer or anvil. In addition, the wide head is the perfect choice for logo marking.
