Marking Methods
Basic Roll Marking
For roll marking, the mark is "rolled" onto the part. It is an economical solution in applications where tonnage requirements make a press too costly. Also, a practical method where fragile parts would be damaged by stamping pressure. This method can be used on both flat and round parts.
Marking round parts: This method uses a stamp holder with or without a roll cradle. | |
Marking flat parts: This method uses a roll stamp holder and part locating fixture. |
Marking hollow round parts: This method uses a stamp holder and mandrel, or other internal support. |
Press method for flats and rounds: This method uses tooling for either flat or round parts, pressing the stamps or die down wih great force. |
