Flat Face Standards

Shown at left is our standard flat face steel stamp with a flat character face height of 8%.

We also have other sizes available, such as stamps with a flat character face height of 5%, 10% and 15% (shown at right).

For very large characters, greater than 1”, CMT offers cross hatching of the character face. This promotes a better securing of the foil on large flat surfaces.
Extra Deep Engraving
 |
Extra Deep Engraving: Required when material is removed from a part after marking or for an abnormally deep mark. Branding dies are engraved extra deep with a flat face so the background of the hot die will not touch the material. |
