FAQ - Air Impact Marking

How much do air impact markers cost?
Air impact markers range in price form $200 up. The price depends on the force and features required for the marking application.
What is the delivery for an air impact marker?
Delivery of standard air impact markers is one week or less. Submersible versions required 2-3 weeks for a special coating process.
Is the force of the air impact marker generated with a spring?
No the force of the air impact marker is generated with a metal hammer. The force is result of the mass of the hammer in motion.
What is the bore size?
The reason this question is asked is for the air consumption of the air impact markers. The standard calculation of the air requirements will over estimate the air requirements. The air requirments per model are shown in an easy to use chart on the following page: Air-Requirements
Does the air impact marker need to use the full stroke length of the marking system?

No. For the standard air impact markers not using the full stroke will result in a lower force in marking the part. The amount of resuction is variable depending on the amount of lubrication in the system, the air pressure, and the travel of the stamps.

For the Slide-A-Mark system the resulting force is the same when using a reduced stroke length.
